A growing need for bread products. A strong faith in God. A name started the first Julie’s Bakeshop on January 6, 1981, in Wireless, Mandaue City, Cebu.

A canteen concessionaire in the 1970’s, Mrs. Julia Gandionco fondly called Ms. Julie, was running three canteens when she ventured into the bakeshop business. From this innovative response to the ever-increasing need for bread in Ma’am Julie’s canteen operations, the country’s largest neighborhood bakeshop chain was born, Julie’s Bakeshop!

As the business grew and as Julie’s expanded its network through franchising, the Julie’s Franchise Corporation (JFC) was created in 1998 to provide Franchise Management Support to the growing number of Julie’s Bakeshop Franchisees. Franchising the business was key to Julie’s Bakeshop’s market leadership with its franchise model continuously recognized with awards of excellence. Julie’s Bakeshop was among the pioneers of the bakeshop franchising business in the Philippines, and became what is now known as the country’s largest neighborhood bakeshop chain.

Out of a firm belief that a business, above all, is a service to God and country, feeding the greater Filipino multitude with quality bread products is the living passion that commits every Julie’s Bakeshop franchise to the pursuit of Service Excellence and Total Customer Satisfaction.

JFC’s staff of industry professionals extends assistance to Franchisees in all steps of the business process: Franchise Application and Development; Training; Marketing; Construction; Operations; Accounting; Human Resource Development; and Expansion. Every Julie’s Bakeshop is assured of continuous year-round marketing support from bakeshop opening onwards to building a superior brand image & products that are sought after by consumers.

Franchisees and staff undergo intensive training, seminar-workshops and hands-on product handling. A baking technology program highlights the Julie’s Bakeshop way of achieving product quality. A Research and Development Department with a full-scale baking laboratory continuously improves and kitchen-tests breads and other product lines that respond to market needs.
